Grown at 1200 meters above sea level this shade grown coffee from the Jinotega region of Nicaragua was produced as a special Coomcafe cooperative microlot. It cups a fantastic coffee that includes honeyed fruits, strawberry, grapefruit and a rich savory after taste. This particular lot was screened to only include large green coffee beans so it includes some truly huge beans.
With funds from this coffee Coomcafe works to reduce their ecological impact by cutting down on water use and reducing water pollution. Coomcafe is also working on educational programs to improve the producers in the region.
